Nature's secrets are waiting to be discovered at every step of the 61 kilometre five-day trek, with the trail weaving its way through the most botanically unique area in all of South Australia before reaching the rugged, remote and spectacular coastline of the Southern Ocean.

The Woolshed KI is situated close to the end of the trail and so makes for an ideal base-camp for you and your walking companions.
Tourism authorities hope a 66-kilometre walking trail which has just been opened on Kangaroo Island in South Australia will become a global drawcard.
"Already we're getting such great feedback from a few international walkers, as well as locals who wanted to be the first ones on it," Environment Department chief executive Sandy Pitcher said.
Walkers pass through bushland wilderness areas and get sweeping views of the Southern Ocean at times.
The trail passes already-popular tourist sites including Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch.
It ends at Kelly Hill Caves, just 11kms from The Woolshed KI, an ideal base camp for your hiking party.
No stay on Kangaroo Island is complete without a visit to the Seal Bay Conservation Park. Seal Bay is a large sandy beach and dune area where Australian sea lions rest and nurse their young.
Seal Bay Conservation Park is located about 45 minutes from Kangaroo Island's main town of Kingscote.
The stunning views of the Australian sea lion colony and the neighbouring coastline are what make Seal Bay an essential experience for visitors to the island.
There is a lot to do at Seal Bay. Tours are run at regular intervals, plus there are picnic and barbecue areas at the nearby Bales Bay where you can stop for lunch.
A short walk from the picnic grounds will take you to a lookout which offers excellent views of Cape Gantheaume and the wilderness area, or take a short drive to the beautiful Bales Beach where you can relax and enjoy the surrounds in an unspoilt location.

From Kelly Hill caves to Hanson Bay. Fantastic walk - thoroughly recommended. 18km round trip takes around 2.5 hours for 9km each way. Grassdale Lagoon mid way along the track is a highlight. Walked the track in July – no issues.
